Police have released a new image of three men they want to speak to

Detectives investigating an attack on a man who was defending his female friends from a group’s “inappropriate behaviour” have renewed their appeal for information.

The Met Police have released a new photo of three men they want to speak to in connection with the assault.

The incident took place at a bar on Chalk Farm Road at around 2am on January 5.

A group of men approached the 23-year-old victim and his friends and are reported to have began acting inappropriately to some of the women.

When the victim intervened and asked them to stop he was attacked during which he suffered a broken nose. The group then left the bar.

A similar image was released in an earlier appeal in February and one of the men from that photo was identified.

A 26-year-old man was arrested last week on Wednesday, June 17 on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm. He was released under investigation.

Officers are now keen to speak with the three men in the latest picture which includes two of the men from the earlier image and another man.

PC Martin Edwards, who is leading the investigation, said: “I am now urging people to take another look at this photograph, which now includes a further male we need to identify, and give us their names.

“We believe all the men are from the Albanian community. A man was injured in an unprovoked assault. We need to speak with these three men.”

Anyone who recognises any of the men in the photograph are asked to call police on 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD 774/05Jan.
