Help for a rough-sleeper was inspiring

• AN inspiring story – last week I had reason to go to my doctor’s surgery – there I met a Turkish owner, who I know well, of a local dry cleaners in Essex Road.
He led by the hand one of the many rough-sleepers we all see on the streets across our borough. He was asking for help for the rough-sleeper who needed support not just advice.
The temperature dropped to near freezing in a few days. The chronic epidemic that has grown in recent years can be seen everywhere. And it’s inspiring when one person cares enough to do something about it.
When people belittle the immigrants in our midst they denigrate not only themselves but the rest of us. In this case the help was for a British-born citizen.
