The switch-on at Seven Dials raised funds for a charity for the homeless

A FOREST of “geometric animals” came alive in Seven Dials at the annual Christmas lights switch-on. A stag, fox, bear, wolf, owl and rabbits – glimmering in lights in the birch tree branches – make up a “magical trail”, starting in Monmouth Street. Shoppers were given discounts on the stores around the shopping district and there was a 10-piece brass band and wreath-making activities. The event, last Thursday, was also to raise funds for homelessness charity The Connection.
